THE JEWELRY CODE:
Data as Wearable Art
We live in the age of data, surrounded by an endless flow of information. Yet, it is not always easy to understand or feel this information. Data visualization helps uncover patterns, reveal connections, highlight trends, simplify complexity, evoke emotions, and, most importantly, transform raw data into immersive, artistic narratives that educate, inspire, and empower.

DataArt is an increasing in popularity art form that uses data as source material for creating works of art. It not only makes data comprehensible but also imbues it with emotional resonance, turning it from mathematics into a powerful, creative tool for interpretation, exploration, and reflection of reality – both global, personal, and universally shared across cultures.

We invite you to create a wearable object – a piece of jewelry – that merges data and art. Let your piece tell a story through material, structure, form, size, geometry, texture, or color that push the boundaries of traditional jewelry design.
Your work could be inspired by:
We do not limit you in your choice of materials, techniques, or themes.
  • Personal data: rhythms of your life, step counts, financial expenses, emotional states, even your caffeine intake – anything in your life you can collect the data on, transforming it into meaningful insights, or thought-provoking visual narratives.
  • Social topics: from human rights statistics to analyses of global social changes and inspiring meaningful actions.
  • Global issues: such as climate change, ecological crises, or the impact of technology, influencing societies worldwide.
In case your work is based on existing data, we are asking you to use statistics from reliable sources – credible, verified, and authoritative data repositories. We will also ask you to attach the link to these sources when presenting and explaining.
Tell your story through data and make the invisible visible!
